Have y’all watched this video?! I just saw this on our news and they received a lot of feedback. Are the parents to blame for lack of discipline? These are a bunch of rotten little rodents in MIDDLE School bullying this 69 year old bus monitor! Did you hear the language they used on her – oy! What the frick is happening to kids these days! Or better yet, what is happening with the parents? These rude, nasty, unacceptable behaviors are reflections of the parents lack of discipline. Let me tell you, if I EVER acted like that to an adult I would not have been able to sit on my ass for months after my mother got a hold of me. It was bad enough that she kicked our ass when we were being mean to my cousins cousin (their father’s side so no relation to us). Did you ever get hit with a plastic belt – wearing short! Yeah, not fun, hurt like a bitch for sure but let me tell you, we learned our lesson never to be mean to others just because we didn’t want to play with them. Of course mami felt bad afterwards and never did it again. I agree, that was a bit extreme even back then and probably why I would never spank my daughter.
Are parents teaching anything to these kids on how to respect others especially your elders? Holy hell! It seems like all we are teaching our kids is how to play video games, giving them IPADS and whatever else they want by being bad. How about teaching them manners, how about teaching them about respect, how about teaching them to stand up for what’s right and being leaders. Heaven forbid you discipline your child for fear they will shout abuse and I don’t mean by hitting them. It seems because of that, kids have the upper hand – so sad. I cannot stand it when I see kids cussing and disrespecting their parents. It is so rude!
This is all just so appalling. These are middle school kids doing this so can you imagine what they will do when they are in high school? My heart goes out to Karen Huff Klein. No one should have to put up with that especially not our Seniors.
Did you experience bullying or were you the bully?
Irene
just disgusting!!! WTH is wrong with the world?!?! I am so sad for this poor lady!!
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously despicable. I would be so ashamed if one of those voices was from one of my daughters. :(
ReplyDeleteThat is so upsetting to me! Back in my day it wasnt anything like it is now, because alot of parents do not discipline there kids they want to be there kids friends, and for them to treat an adult that way is so upsetting.
ReplyDeleteThis is unbelievable! On so many levels! I know I'm beginning to sound like my parents, but things just aren't like they used to be. First of all, yes... I also would not have been able to sit down for a while if I EVER acted like this. Second, what is wrong with these parents? And third, why is this even allowed to go on? Surely there is someone on this bus who could report it... How can kids be SO CRUEL??? UGH!
ReplyDeleteThis made me so angry and sad. What has surprised me is the level and the amount of anger from kids TOWARDS these nasty kids on the bus. Maybe there is still hope for the future
ReplyDeleteI apologize for not responding sooner - it was truly horrible but i'm glad that so many people donated so much for her vacation.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I never responded to this. It is really scary how sassy these kids are especially at such a young age. It is so sad- I hope there is hope for the future
Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I haven't responded to this. It seems that the more we bring attention to it the more we see it. I think it also falls on the parents - perhaps they are in denial - "my child would never do that", but kids can be so precious with them and change when parents are not around.
Hi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteSorry for not responding sooner. I totally agree. we should be parents before we are friends with our children. They will still respect us
I totally agree. But i would march her straight to that person and make her apologize to her. They need to be aware of how they make others feel by doing stuff like that.
